Problem Note 36481: Long user-defined formats in PROC REPORT code might cause SAS to abend or crash in an ODS Markup destination

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

SAS might crash or abend when a long user-defined format of greater than 300 characters is applied to a PROC REPORT variable, and the output is routed to an ODS Markup destination.

The problem will occur with ODS destinations such as HTML, CSV, XML, TAGSETS.EXCELXP, TAGSETS.MSOFFICE2K, and any other tagset generated.

If the destination is ODS HTML, then ODS HTML3 can be used as a workaround. There is not a workaround for the other ODS Markup destinations.
